StageWorks Theatre Group, Inc. will bring together established and emerging artists to present diverse and dynamic theatre and other cultural arts experiences that will entertain and promote community involvement and social causes. With an emphasis on education and incorporating music therapy in our curriculum, we will help people of all ages to be inspired and recognize their self-worth for their own enrichment and to share the joy of performance with others.
From plays to musicals, dramas to classics, producing unique stage works while sharing the voices of new and experienced writers and innovative directors gives us the opportunity to advance our presentation in the performing arts.
We honor the future generation and give them the tools to succeed while fostering theatrical education, personal growth, empathy, and collaboration. These are just some of the magical stage works, which happen when you choose to participate in theatre.
The power of assembling to share a story reminds us that we are unified. The stage works of our community theatre are a vital source of fresh energy and perspective. A place where we accept differences while seeking common ground.
Jo Ann Ventor
Executive Director / Executive Producer
Running a non-profit is not new to me! I started a small theatre company in a lake community back in 2008; starting with a group of 5 then ending with over 40, I knew I had found my life's passion. Thereafter, I formed a more local theatre company called Buzz Theatre Productions. After seeing my own children perform in local productions and with different theatre companies, I took an opportunity to partner in the former Rhino Theatre Group, LLC. After 6 years of a flourishing and successful partnership and weathering the storm of Covid and surviving, I decided to figure out my legacy and wanted to get back to my roots. Theatre is my passion, especially children's theatre and watching a child grow and develop a love of theatre, gives me such joy and purpose. Another passion is unique subject and interesting content in theatre in both plays and musicals and specifically those not-often-produced for an adult cast. My vision to bring affordable and meaningful theatre to our community and to combine philanthropic endeavors and hopefully a lasting legacy to reach and enrich many.
