StageWorks Theatrical Co-Op Program
StageWorks internships offer training for students and emerging professionals whose career interests include performing and visual arts administration, technical theatre, costume design, prop management, and all facets of theatre.
Interns of all academic and professional backgrounds are welcome. Academic credit may be available. Internships are available year-round on an ongoing basis. StageWorks Theatre Group is an equal opportunity employer. Costuming Intern
The Costuming Intern will assist StageWorks Costume Designers in meeting the logistical needs of our season of 20+ shows. This position is ideal for someone interested in the behind the scenes of costume management. This position meets in office 1-2 days a week.
Responsibilities:

Collect and organize costume notes for various shows

Prepare costumes for travel to off-site locations

Steam costumes in advance of wearing

Assist with costume strike and re-organization of costumes in storage facilities

Assist with alterations and costume fixes if needed
Properties Intern
The Properties Intern will assist StageWorks Prop Manager and Producers in meeting the logistical needs of our season of 20+ shows. This position is ideal for someone interested in the behind the scenes of properties creation and management. This position meets in office 1 - 2 days per week.
Responsibilities:

Collect and organize prop notes for various shows

Prepare props for travel to off-site locations

Organize and tape prop tables

Assist with prop creation or alteration if needed

Assist with prop department strike and re-organization of props in storage facilities
Technical Theatre Intern
The Technical Theatre Intern will assist contracted lighting and sound designers and Producers in meeting the technical needs of our season of 20+ shows. This position is ideal for someone interested in the behind the scenes of light or sound design. This position requires sporadic weekend and evening availability, as well as one daytime office day per week.
Responsibilities:

Organizing QLab files

Completing routine maintenance and updates on our theatre's technical equipment

Assisting with the hang and focus of our lighting grid

Taking lighting and sound notes during tech runs of our shows

Occasional light and or/sound board operation for special events or shows.
Graphic Design Intern
The Graphic Design Intern will assist our social media coordinator in creating content for our social media accounts and other marketing materials. This position is ideal for someone with experience with Canva or Photoshop and requires great attention to detail and creativity.
